Late 1970s stone and glass low table measuring 100cm (l) by 100cm (w) and 42cm (h).
The sculptural metafora coffee table was designed by leila and massimo vignelli towards the end of the 1970s. This variation on the square table comprises three geometric shapes: a triangular prism, a cube and a square based pyramid. The three different shapes supporting the table together represent a unified whole and their configuration can be positioned freely. The square glass table top is straight edged through which the marble shapes - with their delicate cream and beige hues - are clearly visible.
